The basics
A team has up to 4 members, the owner included. Teammates can not hurt each other, share a team home and a team vault, and protect their base with claims.
/team opens the team menu, where you can do almost everything with clicks. The commands below work too.
Creating and joining
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/team create <name> | Create a team. 3 to 16 characters: letters, numbers and _. |
/team invite <player> | Invite an online player. The invite lasts 2 minutes. |
/team accept [team] / /team deny [team] | Answer an invite |
/team leave | Leave your team |
/team kick <player> | Remove a member |
/team info [team], /team list, /team top | Team info, all teams and the ranking |
Roles
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including rename, promote, demote, hand over the team (/team leader <player>), unclaim all and disband |
| Co-leader | Invite, kick, claim and unclaim, set the team home, make a truce, manage alts |
| Member | Team chat, team home, team vault |
In chat your team tag shows your role with stars: * member, ** co-leader, *** owner.
/team disband asks twice and is refused while the team vault still has items in it.
Claims: protect your base
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/team claim | Claim the chunk you stand in |
/team unclaim / /team unclaim all | Free the chunk, or every chunk (owner, asks to confirm) |
/team claims, /team map | Your claims, and a map of the chunks around you in chat |
/seechunk | Show the chunk borders with particles |
- A team can claim 100 chunks. A new claim has to touch one you already own (your first claim can be anywhere).
- Claims are only possible in the overworld Wilderness: not in spawn, the Warzone, near world spawn, in the Nether or in the End.
- A claim may not cut another team off.
Inside your claims strangers can not break or place blocks, open chests, furnaces, anvils or brewing stands, use doors or redstone, hurt your animals, or hit mobs. Explosions, fire, lava, water, pistons and mob griefing can not change claimed blocks, so TNT raiding is not possible. Ender pearls and chorus fruit from other teams can not land in your claims.
Team chat, home and vault
/team chattoggles team chat;/tc <message>sends one team message./team sethomesets the team home inside your own claim,/team homegoes there after 5 seconds standing still./team vaultopens a shared chest of 27 slots that every member sees live.
Truces
A truce is an alliance with one other team.
/team truce <team>sends a request (valid 5 minutes); they answer with/team truce accept|deny <team>./team truce removeends it.- Truced teams can not hurt each other and can not change each other's claims, but they can not use your doors either, and they do not see your team chat.
Name colours show who is who: green for your team, pink for your truce, red for everyone else.
Alts
An alt is a second account of a team member, for example one that waits at your base while you play on your main account.
- Up to 5 alts per team; an account only becomes an alt after it accepts (
/team alt invite <player>,/team alt accept). - An alt can not move, build, fight, pick up items, use containers or use most commands.
/team alt tphere <alt>brings an alt to you (10 second cooldown).- Alts do not count towards the member limit, but they are not invulnerable.
- Alts earn nothing: no Souls, no event rewards, no bounties.
Combat
For 30 seconds after a PvP hit you can not leave or disband the team, remove a truce, claim, use the team home or accept an alt invite. Teleports, kits and crates are blocked too.
The team ranking
/team top ranks teams by the player kills of their current members. Kills on alts, teammates and your truce do not count, and the same kill only counts once every 10 minutes.
