How bounties work

A bounty is a pile of real items that you put on another player. The next player who kills that player takes everything on the bounty. Several players can add to the same bounty, so popular targets grow fast.

Every accepted item has a point value. Points only rank bounties on the board; they are not a currency.

Commands

CommandWhat it does
/bountyThe bounty board: search, sort by highest or newest, history and your rewards
/bounty set <player>Put items on a player (also offline players who joined before)
/bounty view <player>See what is on a player
/rewardsBounty payouts that did not fit in your inventory

You can also open the board at Draven the Headhunter at spawn. The website shows the current bounties too: /bounties.

Placing a bounty

  1. /bounty set <player> opens the deposit window.
  2. Click items in your inventory to add them: left-click adds the stack, right-click adds one. Nothing leaves your inventory yet.
  3. Press Review, then Confirm.

A confirmed bounty can not be undone. You can add up to 45 stacks at once.

Accepted items and their points

Only valuable items are accepted. Names and lore never change the value.

Anything else is refused, and so is every shulker box and bundle. There is no fee: everything you put in goes to the hunter.

You can not put a bounty on yourself or on a team alt.

Claiming a bounty

Kill the target in a fight. One kill pays the whole bounty. Spawn has no PvP, so the kill happens in the Warzone or the Wilderness.

The kill does not pay when:

  • the bounty is younger than 5 minutes,
  • the killer is on the target's team, is an alt, or added items to that bounty,
  • killer and target play from the same IP address,
  • the same two players already settled a bounty in the last 24 hours (either way round).

The items go straight to your inventory. Whatever does not fit waits in /rewards.

Good to know

  • Placing and claiming a bounty are announced to the whole server.
  • Bounties never expire. If staff cancel one, the items go back to the players who paid them.
  • Bounties are paid in items, not Souls. See How Souls work for the currency.
