Combat and PvP

Where you can fight

Ender pearls and chorus fruit thrown from outside can not land in spawn, so running into spawn with a pearl does not work. More in Spawn, the Warzone and the Wilderness.

The combat tag

A PvP hit (given or taken) puts you in combat for 30 seconds. You do not see a timer; you only get a message when something is refused. While you are in combat you can not:

• teleport: /spawn, /home, /tpa, /warp, the team home,
• claim kits or open crates and Endervaults,
• send gifts, or open the merchant and bounty menus,
• leave or disband your team, remove a truce, claim land or accept an alt invite.

Every new hit restarts the 30 seconds.

Who you can hit

• Teammates can not hurt each other.
• A truce works the same: truced teams can not hurt each other.
• Everyone else is fair game outside spawn. Name colours help: green is your team, pink your truce, red everyone else.

When you die

• You drop your items where you died. Keep spare gear at home.
• You respawn at world spawn, or at your bed if you set one.
• Your Souls stay safe: dying never costs Souls.
• If there is a bounty on you, your killer may claim it.

Tips

• Do not start a fight you can not finish: you can not teleport away for 30 seconds.
• Fight with your team and set a team home inside your claim.
• Never fight with your best gear far from home.
